- Details: Renting a car provides flexibility and allows you to explore the region at your own pace. The route involves taking Highway 307 south from Cancun to Tulum. Keep in mind that there are tolls along the way.
Private Transfer or Taxi:
- Duration: Similar to car rental, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Details: Arrange for a private transfer or take a taxi from Cancun to Tulum. This option is convenient, especially if you prefer a door-to-door service. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting the journey.
ADO Bus:
- Duration: Around 2 hours.
- Details: ADO is a reputable bus company that operates services between Cancun and Tulum. Buses are comfortable and equipped with air conditioning. The ADO bus station in Cancun is located downtown, and the Tulum bus station is near the town center.
Colectivo (Shared Van):
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
- Details: Colectivos are shared vans that operate along the Riviera Maya. They can be found at specific points in Cancun, such as the ADO bus station. While they are a budget-friendly option, they may make multiple stops along the way.

Nestled among vibrant shops and swaying palms, the “Follow That Dream” sign in Tulum is a beacon of inspiration, urging you to embrace the call of adventure. Search ‘Lolita Lolita Tulum’ and the sign will be right outside.

Sian Ka’an
Embark on a journey to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases Tulum’s ecological diversity. Take a boat tour through the mangroves, spot wildlife, and immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of this natural wonder.

Playa Paraiso
Take some time to relax during your Tulum adventure with a visit to Playa Paraiso, a stretch of powder-white sands kissed by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Relax under a palapa, take a dip in the refreshing sea, and let the rhythmic waves serenade your soul. BTW this is the only beach in Tulum that you can access free-of-charge.
Ruinas de Tulum
No visit to Tulum is complete without exploring the Tulum Ruins. Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, these ancient Mayan ruins offer a captivating journey through history. Wander through the archaeological site and soak in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean.

If you’re looking for the iconic “If Not Now, When” sign in Tulum, you’re in for a treat. This inspirational and Instagram-worthy sign is located along Av. Coba in Tulum. Click here for the exact location on google maps.

Another insta spot located along Tulum’s iconic beach road is Matcha Mama. Matcha Mama is a green oasis where the vibrant spirit of this coastal haven mingles with the serenity of a wellness retreat. Discover the cenotes that dot the Tulum landscape. Snorkel or dive to explore the underwater wonders and feel the magic of these natural pools.

Holistika Art Walk
Holistika art walk was one of my favourite experiences in Tulum and I was in awe of the talent on display. Holistika Hotel is a wellness-oriented hotel located in Tulum, Mexico. However, there is free entry for anyone that would like to do the art walk. Walk through the hotels premises and discover the amazing sculptures, murals and more hidden throughout the jungle.
