Sri Lanka is one of the most beautfiful countries I have ever visited. If you want a full Sri Lanka travel guide, click here. Otherwise keep reading to find the best photo spots.
Pidurangala Rock, Sigiriya

Hike Pidurangala Rock for sunrise or sunset. Start your hike here and follow the well-marked path to the top!
Hiriketiya

These pictures were all taken at Hiriketiya Beach. Everywhere you look at Hiriketiya Beach is a photo op – such a vibe.
Secret Beach Mirissa

(Not so) Secret Beach in Mirissa is here. I drove the Tuktuk, parked around here and walked the rest of the way as the hills were very steep. The remainder of the walk took about 10 minutes – cut through this shortcut.
Lion Rock Sigiriya

Climb 1200 steps to reach this magnificent view on Lion Rock. You will start here at the carpark, head to the ticket office, then walk through the gardens before beginning your climb.
Sigiriya Lion Face
Sigiriya Lion Face is located here. Perfect for sunset but watch out for crocs!
Granbell Colombo

This picture was taken from the rooftop pool in Granbell Hotel Colombo. Worth a stay or visit with a day pass.
Rasta Rope Swing Talpe
Rasta Rope Swing belongs to ShantiShanti restaurant. You can park here which is the exact spot for the swing. You pay per swing and you do not have to pay/purchase anything at the restaurant.
Nine Arches Bridge

For pictures on the bridge, you can ask your Tuktuk driver to drop you here, which is right at one end of the bridge (no walking involved at all!).
To get the photo in the leaves looking up at the bridge, walk across the bridge to Cocinita Bar, then climb down into the trees. It will only take a couple of minutes to find a good photo spot but it does get muddy and slippy.
Coconut Tree Hill Mirissa

Coconut Tree Hill is located here. We parked here on the main road- you will see tuktuk drivers waiting here. Do not drive down Coconut Tree Hill Road as it is private property and you cannot park there.
Ella train

We booked the train from Ella to Kinigama which was 4 stops, approx 30 minutes. Sit on the left side. Be ready to take pics as soon as you get on! You will be passing waterfalls as soon as you leave Ella station and these are the best views.
The Frog Rock Dalawella

Frog Rock is definitely an insta-versus-reality photo spot. Click here for the exact location- we parked on the main road and walked through the restaurant closest to this location.
Ella Hills

I booked this hotel solely for the pool and views. While I would not recommend this hotel, there are other hotels and pools that offer beautiful views of Ella.
